WaterBoyz
redefining the cc experience
The National Weather Service issued a rare tornado warning for OC today. In the spirit of Storm Chasers, the Water Boyz will provide you with the most up-to-date report on the outcomes of our rare visitor.
A waterspout was spotted off Seal Beach and two tornado warnings were issued as severe storm cells rolled in off the Pacific this afternoon. At 12:45 p.m. a tornado warning was issued for Orange County until 1:30 p.m. (extended to 2 p.m.) as the National Weather Service reported a storm cell heading northeast toward the Newport / Huntington Beach coast.
The waterspout was sighted at 1:02 pm moving northeast toward the coast, according to NWS. Witnesses reported golf ball-sized hail in the Seal Beach area and a brief funnel cloud.
At 12:36 p.m., doppler radar indicated a storm capable of producing a tornado in southern LA county headed for Long Beach and Whittier. This warning expired at 1:15 p.m. No funnel clouds have been reported.

Jerry Bridges uses his canoe to check on his wife’s car in the 900 block of Bennett Ave in Long Beach.
The amount of rain also caused severe mudslide in the area as well.
I was watching Stanley Kubrick’s classic Dr. Strangelove the other day and noticed that even in 1964, water was very much at the forefront of issues concerning public safety and health.
In this gripping conversation, General Brigadier Jack D. Ripper reveals to Captain Mandrake that he has learned of a Communist conspiracy involving water fluoridation which will compromise everyone’s “precious bodily fluids.” Readers of this website worth their weight in water will realize that Ripper repeats some important water facts that resonate with the WaterBoyz’ particular views. So listen closely, because he also says a lot of insane stuff too.
Water: pretty much the most important stuff ever.
I leave you with this thought: If he were alive today, perhaps Mr. Ripper would have fallen in line like a true solider and voted “Rain” in the most recent “WaterBoyz Poll.”
We, the WaterBoyz, do publicly endorse Conan O’Brien, the classy and very talented funny man of The Tonight Show. Having just been screwed over by NBC and probably about to leave the network soon, we support Conan’s decision and wish him a smooth transition to his new endeavors. To put it in different terms: “Conan O’Brien just poured cold water all over NBC Universal’s plan to squeeze in all three of its late night comedians into a new lineup.” (Source)
Our regular readers might ask: Why the endorsement of Conan? Well, even the experts in all things concerning water need some inspiration from time to time. Conan has always provided us with the important humorous underpinnings of our work and is thus essential for our very own work.
Here’s another proof of the power of water. Even Coco’s famous hair style cannot resist:
From the people of earth: Good luck, Conan!

Erik was dreading through his advancement to candidacy yesterday, and he was wondering whether there’d be a way that will ensure the success of his advancement. A sign of brilliance showed when he decided to attach the new WaterBoyz logo to the title page of his presentation slides. The committee members were so impressed that they unequivocally commented on Erik’s greatness. Congratulations to Erik, now a Doctoral Candidate!!
Here’s the work of a genius:

In response to the results of our latest poll, “What’s Your Favorite Water?” the WaterBoyz donned their best Holiday sweaters and sat down with Mother Nature Sunday evening over some hot tea and scones (the English way) to begin negotiations.

Figure 1. Lost in translation. These gentlemen are clearly confused.
If you’ve looked out the window this morning, you’ll see the results of our talks: RAIN! In the end, participants unanimously decided rain plays to everyone’s strengths: Mother Nature needs her trees and plants to grow big and strong, and the WaterBoyz, well, let’s just say we’re at our best in wet environments.

Inspired by an educational movie night, watching Bill Maher’s Religulous, I feel that, as a WaterBoy, it is my duty to say some words about water and religion. One particular example in the movie stands out:
So the Trinity is like water, it can be steam, ice and liquid. This analogy is striking. The Trinity, a fundamental concept within Christianity, is the belief that God is three separate persons, but is still a single God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Following the water analogy, I wonder who could be what? Holy Spirit relates to steam – obviously. But I’m left puzzled how to relate ice and liquid to either Father or Son.
Of course water not only plays a central role in Christianity. In most religions, water has a cleansing function. Water can clean holy object but also has the power to clean people’s spirit and thus make them more perceptible for God’s message. This theme can be found, amongst others, in Christianity (baptism), Hinduism and Judaism.
It should be pointed out that this exploration is merely scratching the surface. There’s much more to explore and our valued readers are encouraged to take part in the discussion.
One of my next posts shall explore the role water plays in philosophy. It is simply flabbergasting on how many levels water affects our lives and believes.
THE THREAT LEVEL AT WATERBOYZ HQ HAS GONE FROM GREEN TO RED.
The WaterBoyz were shaken to their core early this evening when loyal fans Ramzi and Kristina wired us this image:

Figure 1. No no no no!!!!!!!!!
Looks like water ain’t welcome here.
Happy Thursday, fellow water enthusiasts. Continuing on the music-water theme, I’ve found a few music videos I think you’ll enjoy. Today’s post explores the connection between water and…..love.
